Ash Free Antioxidant

Ash Free Anti-oxidant lubricant additive is a proprietary blend of organic esters, surfactants, antioxidants, and inorganic additives designed to improve the performance and longevity of lubricated equipment. This additive has been formulated to reduce fuel consumption, decrease friction, reduce sludge and deposits, and improve wear protection and corrosion resistance. It also helps improve the viscosity index, neutralize contaminants, and provide superior extreme pressure performance.

Ash Free Antioxidant

Ash Free Anti-oxidant is a kind of multipurpose ashless additive. It not only has outstanding anti-oxidation performance, but also has great abrasion resistance and extreme pressure properties. Meanwhile, it has excellent compatibility with other additives, can be used for steam turbine oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil, internal combustion engine oil and other kinds of oil for the improvement of their anti-oxidation and abrasion resistance. It’s also an effective extreme-pressure additive for lubricating grease.

Ash-free antioxidants are substances that are used as additives in various products to prevent oxidation, which can lead to the deterioration of the product. These antioxidants do not produce any ash residue when they are burned or exposed to high temperatures.

Some common examples of ash-free antioxidants include:

  • Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT): BHT is a synthetic antioxidant that is commonly used in foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals to prevent oxidation and prolong shelf life.
  • Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA): BHA is another synthetic antioxidant that is used in similar applications as BHT. Both BHT and BHA are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in food products.
  • Tocopherols: Tocopherols are natural antioxidants that are commonly found in vegetable oils, nuts, and seeds. They are often used as additives in food products to prevent rancidity and extend shelf life.
  • Ascorbic acid: Ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C, is a powerful antioxidant that is commonly used in food products, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. It helps to prevent oxidation and preserve the quality of these products.

Ash-free antioxidants are preferred in certain applications, such as the manufacturing of electronic components, where the presence of ash residue can cause contamination and affect the performance of the product.
