Character: Yellowish or pale grey powder or pellet with pungent odour, soluble in water and alcohol.
Application: A strong collector for the flotation of nonferrous metallic sulfide minerals – copper, chalcopyrite, sphalerite and pyrite.
Specification (YS/T 269-2008): Sodium Butyl Xanthate >= 90.0% (Pellet), Free Alkali <= 0.2%, Moisture and Volatile <= 7.0%.
